The Ooredoo Nation Gamer’s Land festival wrapped up with an electrifying finale, bringing together gaming enthusiasts and esports athletes for an unforgettable experience. Held at Usfasgandu, Malé, the event saw the participation of Minister of Sports, Health, and Recreation, Abdulla Rafiu, as the chief guest.
The festival kicked off with a vibrant cosplay segment, where participants showcased their creativity by bringing iconic gaming and anime characters to life. The best cosplayers were recognised and awarded, adding to the excitement of the event.
One of the highlights of the night was the announcement of The Ultimate Player, a title awarded to the top-performing gamer of the year. After intense competition, Haisham Waheed secured the prestigious title along with a grand prize of MVR 30,000.
During the closing ceremony, Minister Rafiu applauded Ooredoo Nation for its role in fostering esports and gaming culture in the Maldives. “Gaming and esports have become a major part of global entertainment and digital innovation. Events like Gamer’s Land not only provide a platform for our talented gamers but also contribute to the growth of the industry in the Maldives,” he said.
