PCB Leadership Changes as Mohamed Anas Takes Over

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Mohamed Anas as the new President of the Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB).

Anas’s appointment follows the dismissal of Hamdhy Ageel from the role on 13th February. The government has not provided an explanation for Hamdhy’s removal. Anas was appointed under the authority granted to the President by the Privatisation, Corporatisation, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Government Businesses Act (Law No. 3/2013).

Anas holds a Master of Business Administration from the Maldives National University (MNU) and a degree in accounting from the University of Hertfordshire. He previously served as Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Finance and Planning and has also held roles as an Audit Manager at the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) and as an Associate Professor at the Maldives Business School.
