The Board of Directors of First National Finance Corporation has appointed Mariyam Visam as its new Chief Commercial Officer, effective 16 March 2025.
As the Chief Commercial Officer, Visam will lead the development and execution of commercial strategies that align with First National’s business goals, oversee product development, manage sales and marketing teams, and build strategic partnerships.
Visam brings over two decades of extensive experience in corporate governance, business and financial regulations, and leadership to First National. In addition to serving as Registrar of Companies, she was a board member of the Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA) from 2014 to 2025, where she also chaired its Technical Committee. Prior to that, she served on the board of the Maldives Pension Administration Office (MPAO) from 2009 to 2014. In 2022, she was an Executive Committee Member of the Corporate Registers Forum.
Currently, she is the President of the Rotary Club of Malé and a governing board member of the Maldives International Financial Services Authority (MIFSA).
She holds a Master’s degree in Business Economics from the University of Queensland, Australia, and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management from the University of Northumbria, UK.
