Dhiraagu has announced the continuation of its partnership with Skate Maldives, reinforcing its commitment to developing youth and sports in the country. This extended collaboration follows a successful term as the Development Partner for Skate Maldives during 2023–2024.
The renewed alliance is expected to accelerate the growth of skating in the Maldives by supporting the organisation of both national and international competitions. It marks another step in Dhiraagu’s broader strategy of encouraging active lifestyles and youth empowerment.
Skate Maldives, the officially registered national association for skating in the country, has played a key role in nurturing local talent. In 2023, the organisation achieved Provisional Affiliate Member status with World Skate. Within a year, it progressed to full Affiliate Member, becoming the sole governing body for all skating disciplines in the Maldives by 2024.
“We are delighted to continue our partnership with Skate Maldives to develop the next generation of skaters in the country. This collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to youth development, promoting active sports and creating opportunities for young people to pursue their passion,” said Mohamed Mirshan Hassan, Director of Brand and Marketing Communications at Dhiraagu.
President of Skate Maldives, Mohamed Hanim, noted the significance of Dhiraagu’s continued involvement. “Their role as our development partner has been invaluable in driving our progress and helping us take meaningful steps toward our vision,” he said, adding that the partnership has already made a considerable impact.
Dhiraagu reiterated its commitment to community-focused initiatives that empower young people and advance sports in the Maldives.
