Visit Maldives to Host Multi-Sensory “Maldivian Evening 2025” in Dubai

Visit Maldives is set to host “Maldivian Evening 2025” in Dubai on 28 April, presenting an immersive showcase designed to capture the Maldives’ richness in culture, gastronomy, and storytelling. The event, scheduled to take place at the Theatre of Digital Art (TODA) during the sidelines of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, aims to reposition the Maldives as more than a beach destination — highlighting its diverse narratives, cinematic appeal, and luxury offerings.

Held from 19:00 to 23:00, the evening will bring together travel trade professionals, media, influencers, VIPs, and government stakeholders for a curated, multi-sensory journey through Maldivian experiences. Attendees will be welcomed with a red carpet reception, followed by guided walkthroughs of the immersive TODA space, designed for engagement and content creation.

A highlight of the evening will be the premiere of “Dhivehi Dreams”, a short film intended to capture the Maldives through a new visual lens, followed by a theatrical retelling of the Maldivian folklore “Dhon Hiyala & Alifulhu”, combined with a gastronomic experience where dishes served correspond with narrative elements.

The programme also features a fashion showcase reinterpreting traditional attire, live music and cultural dances, and buffet-style fusion cuisine presented with storytelling menu cards. Interactive content zones will include a 360° immersive experience, a VR showcase of Maldivian ecosystems, and live demonstrations of traditional crafts such as Kasabu Viyun and Fangi Vinun. Local artist Raappe will create a live art piece accompanied by music, leading up to a closing performance by the Maldivian band Skyrock.

The event is part of Visit Maldives’ broader strategy to deepen destination engagement through cultural storytelling and regional marketing. Arabian Travel Market 2025 has been designated as the flagship fair of the year for the organisation, reflecting the strategic importance placed on the Gulf market.

“Maldivian Evening 2025” is expected to reinforce the Maldives’ reputation not only as a premier luxury destination but also as a country of rich cultural heritage and evolving creative expression.
