The registration deadline for Maldives Expo 2025, the largest national exhibition celebrating culture, creativity, innovation, entertainment, and entrepreneurship, has been extended to 10 May 2025, according to an announcement by the Business Centre Corporation (BCC).
Originally set to close on 24 April, the registration window was extended to allow greater participation from individuals and organisations across the country. Officials from the BCC stated that the decision aims to encourage wider involvement and offer more opportunities for contributors to showcase their work.
Locally known as the Dhiveheenge Ufehdhuntherikamuge Qaumee Mauraz, the exhibition will be held at Central Park, Hulhumalé, from 23 to 31 May.
Since the exhibition’s official website went live in November 2024, the organisers have received applications from 256 participants, collectively showcasing over 4,400 products. This figure was disclosed earlier by Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saeed.
In a move to further promote inclusivity, the BCC recently lifted the cap on the number of products each participant can exhibit. Previously, exhibitors were limited to presenting products within 15 categories, but under the revised policy, they may now showcase an unlimited number of items. The change reflects the organisers’ efforts to create a more flexible and expansive platform for innovation and creativity.
The BCC also highlighted that several initiatives aimed at supporting the growth of Maldivian artists and nurturing creative skills will be launched during the expo.
Participants interested in joining can now register through the official website, www.expo.mv, or contact the hotline at +960 7283886 for further information.
