The Non-Resident High Commissioner of the Republic of Singapore to the Maldives, Soo Kok Leng, paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Muizzu at the President’s Office this morning.
During the meeting, President Muizzu and High Commissioner Soo Kok Leng held constructive discussions on strengthening cooperation in key sectors such as higher education, healthcare, and tourism. They also explored new opportunities for collaboration.
President Muizzu expressed a strong interest in attracting investment in trade, the economy, and housing. He highlighted the Maldives’ need for technical support in the housing sector and outlined his vision to develop an environmentally sustainable city powered entirely by renewable energy.
The meeting concluded with both leaders reaffirming their countries’ commitment to deepening diplomatic ties and enhancing strategic cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
