Siyah Ahmed: Strategic Leadership for National Progress
With 22 years of experience with STO

“This experience taught me invaluable lessons about patience, courage, and the power of teamwork. By facing daily challenges together and finding solutions as a cohesive unit, we were able to achieve our goals even in the most trying circumstances.”
As Client Relations Manager, Siyah Ahmed brings more than two decades of experience to his role, having entered the workforce in 2003. His responsibilities span a wide scope—from pricing strategy and proposal development to negotiation, logistics, customer engagement, and team leadership. Siyah has built a career on strategic execution and has become a key figure in ensuring the successful delivery of government-led projects across the Maldives.
His most recent project, the timely delivery of materials for the Thalassemia Center, required strict adherence to a 30-day timeline. Siyah’s coordination ensured that every logistical detail—from sourcing to delivery—was executed with precision. Yet, the project that remains closest to his heart is his work during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he led the supply of materials for quarantine facilities across the nation. Amid lockdowns and logistical restrictions, Siyah’s leadership, perseverance, and deep sense of duty ensured these facilities were delivered when the country needed them most.
Beyond project work, he is deeply committed to staff development, constantly updating his team on industry trends, offering training, and promoting experiential learning. His leadership philosophy is rooted in integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement, making him a pillar of STO’s sustained success.
Abdulla Ihsaan: Ensuring Success Through Precision and Purpose
With 13 years of experience with STO

“This project brought me the greatest personal fulfilment as it was carried out during one of the most challenging periods—the national lockdown. Despite strict time constraints and limited resources, we successfully completed the setup of multiple isolation facilities within a very short timeframe.”
Abdulla Ihsaan has been serving as a Client Success Specialist at STO since December 4, 2012. Over the years, he has played a crucial role in managing agents and supporting large-scale government projects. His work on the recent Thalassemia Relocation Project (Orange Hiya) stands out as a testament to his ability to manage end-to-end procurement coordination with accuracy and efficiency. Ihsaan collaborated closely with internal procurement teams and external contractors to ensure materials were sourced, quoted, delivered, and invoiced on time—each step crucial for the project’s smooth progression.
One of the most defining moments of Ihsaan’s career was his involvement in the Isolation Facilities Project during the COVID-19 lockdown. With the nation in crisis, he rose to the challenge of establishing vital healthcare infrastructure under extremely constrained conditions.
Despite tight timelines and disrupted supply chains, Ihsaan remained focused, using clear prioritisation and strong stakeholder communication to navigate the complexities. His role in these projects not only highlights his operational competence but also his unwavering commitment to the public good.
Aminath Shaffa: Precision, Leadership, and a Passion for Progress
With 13 years of experience with STO

“The project that brought me the greatest personal fulfilment was the Thalassemia Relocation Project. This initiative was particularly meaningful because it involved coordinating the safe and efficient relocation of patients who rely on regular medical care.”

Her recent work in Public Sector Investment Program (PSIP) projects highlights her ability to handle high-stakes initiatives requiring precision in pricing, compliance, and project quotations.
Shaffa’s meticulous approach ensures that all government project requirements are met with both accuracy and efficiency, making her a dependable figure in STO’s project pipeline.
One of her most meaningful contributions was during the Thalassemia Relocation Project, which provided her with valuable insight into managing complex tasks while working closely with a dedicated team under significant pressure and within a tight timeframe—demonstrating strong teamwork and effective organizational skills.
Earlier in her career, Shaffa also managed daily operations at STO People’s Choice for over two years, overseeing multiple shifts and a large team. That experience sharpened her leadership and people management skills, which she now applies in complex project settings. Her proactive learning attitude, especially in adapting to the unfamiliar construction sector, demonstrates her dedication to growth and excellence.
