Maldivian businesses have been invited to take part in Sri Lanka Expo 2026, a regional trade exhibition aimed at connecting exporters with international buyers and expanding commercial partnerships across sectors.
The event, organised by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board under the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, is scheduled to run from 18 to 21 June at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall in Colombo. It is positioned as Sri Lanka’s flagship international trade exhibition and is expected to draw participants from across multiple industries.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the invitation was formally extended by the Sri Lankan government, offering Maldivian companies an opportunity to showcase products and services while engaging in business to business meetings and networking sessions.
The exhibition will feature sector focused displays covering tourism, agriculture, food and beverage, and services. Organisers expect participation from more than 750 exhibitors alongside over 2,000 international buyers representing around 50 countries, creating a platform for cross border trade discussions and potential partnerships.
Participation in such expos is often used by businesses to test new markets, build distribution links and increase export visibility, particularly for smaller economies seeking to broaden trade relationships within the region.
