Ooredoo Maldives has introduced a limited-time Ramadan promotion offering unlimited night-time data across selected mobile plans, aiming to capture higher usage during the late evening hours of the holy month.
The offer provides unlimited data access between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM for customers who purchase eligible packs through the Ooredoo SuperApp. Packages begin at MVR 50 and extend across daily, monthly and bundled plans, including Ooredoo Data, All-in-One and Aachaa Dhan Dhan packs.
The entry-level Daily Data pack priced at MVR 50 includes 59GB of data valid for 24 hours alongside the unlimited night benefit. Higher-tier options range from MVR 200 to MVR 1,200, combining varying volumes of regular data with the same unlimited usage window for a four-week validity period.
Under the Aachaa Dhan Dhan category, customers can access plans offering between 2GB and 6GB per day, with unlimited night data included, valid for four weeks.
The move aligns with typical Ramadan usage patterns, when digital activity shifts to post-Iftar and late-night hours. By concentrating unlimited access within a defined four-hour window, Ooredoo appears to be targeting streaming, gaming, video calls and social media consumption during peak night-time demand.
Activation is available directly through the Ooredoo SuperApp, positioning the promotion within the company’s digital self-service ecosystem.
Ooredoo Maldives reported revenues of MVR 1,787 million and a profit after tax of MVR 465 million as of 31 December 2021. The company is listed on the Maldives Stock Exchange.
The Ramadan campaign adds to the competitive dynamics of the local telecom market, where operators regularly introduce seasonal data incentives tied to religious holidays and peak consumption periods.
