Foundation of Eydhafushi Youth Linkage (FEYLI), a recipient of Bank Fund support, has developed a Vocational Training Lab and opened a Digital Studio at B. Atoll Education Centre, expanding access to practical learning facilities for students.
The project is aimed at improving hands-on skills, creativity, and employability by giving students access to modern equipment and structured training opportunities. The new facilities are expected to support learning beyond conventional classroom instruction, particularly in areas linked to digital media, technical skills, and vocational development.
The Digital Studio has been equipped with digital cameras and a production setup to support training in photography, videography, and digital content creation. Structured training programmes are planned to help students develop practical skills in media production and creative work.
As part of the project, the school’s Vocational Training Lab has also been upgraded. A carpentry section has been developed with essential hand tools, battery-powered electric tools, and safety equipment. A tailoring section has also been established with sewing machines and materials needed for garment-making.
Training programmes are also planned for students using the Vocational Lab, allowing them to gain exposure to practical skills that may support future employment, entrepreneurship, or further technical education.
Bank Fund is the Bank’s annual grant programme for registered non-governmental organisations implementing community-focused projects across the Maldives. Selected NGOs receive MVR 200,000 in assistance to start and complete their projects.
