BML Renews Partnership with Maldives Surfing Association

Bank of Maldives has renewed its partnership with the Maldives Surfing Association as its development partner, continuing its support for national surfing teams and youth development in the sport.

Under the renewed partnership, the Bank will remain the official sponsor of the National Junior and Senior Surfing Teams. It will also continue to support the annual National Junior Surfing Championship, which is aimed at developing young surfing talent in the Maldives.

The Bank first entered into a partnership with the Maldives Surfing Association in 2022, before renewing the arrangement in 2024.

Through the partnership, Bank of Maldives continues to support the development of sporting talent across the country through youth-focused initiatives and collaborations with national associations.

The Bank also partners with the Maldives Olympic Committee to offer a Sports Scholarship programme. The latest recipient of the scholarship is a national surfer, who will undergo advanced training in Indonesia, Japan and the Philippines as part of their international development pathway.
