Maldives Inland Revenue Authority has commenced an Asian Development Bank-funded e-invoicing mission as part of its digital transformation roadmap.
The mission was launched by Minister of Finance and Public Enterprises Hassan Zareer and Chairperson of the MIRA Board Ahmed Saaid Musthafa.
According to MIRA, the initiative is focused on integrating Regulatory Technology into tax administration. The project is aimed at automating tax compliance, reducing tax evasion and modernising services.
The initiative forms part of MIRA’s broader shift towards more accessible and technology-enabled services, as the authority works to improve the efficiency of tax administration.
