Ministry of Home Affairs signed agreements to contribute financial assistance to support projects in four islands.
Agreements were signed with the councils of AA. Himandhoo, N.Holhudhoo, Th. Vilufushi and N. Kudafari.
Agreements were signed on 18th of August with the councils of Kudafari and Vilufushi. Kudafari council received an assistance of MVR 300,000 to install street lamps. Vilufushi received an assistance of MVR 289,131.15 to build a children’s park.
Moreover, another agreements were signed on 8th of August with the councils of Holhudhoo and Himandhoo. According to those agreements, Holhudhoo council received an assistance of MVR 245,250 to build a community park. Himandhoo council received an assistance of MVR 300,000 to build a children’s park.
All the agreements were signed by the State Minister of Home Ministry Ali Nazeer and the members of council of the islands.
Home Ministry have been providing aid to islands under their assistance program. 17 islands will be receiving assistance under this program.
