Ooredoo Maldives had the honour of welcoming His Excellency Jassim bin Jaber J.B. Al-Sorour, the Ambassador of Qatar to the Maldives, to its headquarters in Hulhumalé. This visit underscores the robust diplomatic relationship between the Maldives and Qatar and highlights Ooredoo Maldives as the largest Qatar-based foreign investment in the country.
During the visit, His Excellency was warmly received by Ooredoo Maldives’ senior leadership, including CEO Khalid Al-Khamadi, who provided an overview of the company’s achievements, ongoing projects, and future plans. Discussions centred on Ooredoo Maldives’ contributions to the development of the Maldives’ digital landscape, its role in fostering innovation, and its commitment to community-focused initiatives.
The Ambassador was given a tour of the Ooredoo Maldives facilities, where he engaged with key teams working on the company’s flagship projects. He also took the opportunity to meet with employees and learn more about Ooredoo’s initiatives aimed at enhancing digital accessibility and empowering communities across the Maldives.
