An MoU has been signed on increasing cooperation in the renewable energy industry between Maldives and UAE.
The signing was held in the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center. As a representative of the Maldivian government, the MoU was signed by the Environment Minister Dr. Hussain Rasheed. As a UAE representative, the MoU was signed by their Climate change and Environment Minister Dr. Th’ani al Zayoodi.
According to Foreign Ministry, scientific and technological information and experiences will be shared between both countries with regards to making regulations in the renewable energy industry. They added that this will also tweak the relationship between both countries.
