The President’s Office has opened applications for a vacant seat in the legal field of the Tax Appeal Tribunal, following the resignation of one of its members.
According to the announcement, application forms can be collected from the President’s Office on working days between 8:30 am and 12:00 pm. The deadline for both collecting and submitting the forms is set at 12:00 pm on 7 September. The forms are also available for download from the President’s Office website.
The Tax Appeal Tribunal is mandated to adjudicate disputes arising under the Tax Administration Act and other taxation-related legislation. It has the authority to review and deliberate on tax-related cases, summon individuals, take witness statements, obtain documents and evidence, and take any necessary measures to establish the truth of submissions made before it.
The Tribunal is composed of five members appointed by the President with parliamentary approval. The current vacancy follows the resignation of one of these members.
