Bank of Maldives Staff Back ARC Aid’s Ramadan Support Drive

Bank of Maldives employees have contributed to a Ramadan initiative aimed at assisting vulnerable families, supporting the distribution of essential care packs to households facing added financial and social pressures.

The donations were channelled through ARC Aid, whose programme focuses on families with children with special needs as well as single mothers. With contributions from BML staff, more than 100 packs were distributed, reaching families of over 200 children.

The initiative forms part of the Bank’s annual Ramadan efforts, during which employees extend support to community organisations. In previous years, staff have contributed to causes such as MOMS Aid, while ARC Aid has also received assistance in recent Ramadan periods.

The support comes at a time when demand for essential items tends to increase, particularly among households managing additional caregiving responsibilities. By directing contributions through established local organisations, employees sought to ensure aid reached families identified as most in need.
