Bank of Maldives has announced that the bank will be carrying out its card system upgrade on the night of Thursday, 3rd June 2021.
As such, the upgrade will be carried out between 10pm on Thursday, 3rd June 2021, and 9am the next morning, 4th June 2021.
The system upgrade is being done to improve banking services given to customers, and to carry out important changes in order to do so, in line with the relevant standards.
During the period set out for the system upgrade, BML card services both locally and internationally, including ATM, POS, mPOS, merchant portal, payment gateway and mobile pay facilities will be temporarily halted. However, internet banking and mobile banking will remain available during this period.
The bank further states that after the completion of the card system upgrade, card services will again be available just as before. BML offers the widest range of bank card services in the country, and has been providing international card services since 2004.
