Bank of Maldives has today announced the successful completion of a Barbecue area in K. Kaashidhoo as part of its Community Fund which focuses on empowering individuals to contribute to society through sustainable community projects.
The aim of the project is to create a space to strengthen relations and bring the community together. The area is equipped with Barbecue grills, tables, chairs and benches. The space also has a ‘fini maizaan’, a relaxing area especially designed for senior citizens.
The winner of the project, Mohamed Visaah commented, “Our hope is that the space is useful for our community and those visiting the island. My sincere gratitude and thanks to Kaashidhoo Club Flyers and those who assisted in completing the project successfully.”
The Community Fund is a program to empower individuals and NGOs to contribute to their communities through sustainable projects. As of today, the Bank has provided financial assistance for 65 projects across the country through this Fund.
