Male’ City council has declared that only Restaurants and Shops in the main roads will receive permission for 24 hour service.
Deputy Mayor of Male City Council Mr. Shamau Shareef stated that they have identified and shared the specific area’s where the restaurants and shops can provide the 24 hours service in Male’ city but the final decision will be taken by the Ministry of Economics. Mr. Shamau further stated that they have discussed with the police in choosing area’s that are easy to patrol.
Including Male’ City council, other atoll councils have been informed by the Ministry of Economics to identify the areas to provide 24 hour service. The information regarding this will be updated in the gazette accordingly.
