State Trading Organization has increased the prices for petrol and diesel.
The company stated that the increase in fuel price was due to the increase in fuel price around the world.
Due to this increase, an additional 41 Laari will be charged from diesel and 35 Laari will be additionally charged from petrol. Accordingly, a liter of petrol will now be charged at MVR 11.13 whereas a liter of diesel will be charged at MVR 10.77.
