Who we are

Corporate Maldives is a business media and intelligence platform operated by Orca Media Group, based in Malé, Maldives. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit corporatemaldives.com.

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information unless you provide it voluntarily. When you use this site, the following data may be collected automatically:

• Usage data — pages visited, time spent, device type, browser, and approximate location (country or city level), collected via Google Analytics.
• Search queries — if you use the on-site search, your query is processed by WordPress to return results. We do not store these separately.
• Advertising data — advertisements on this site are served by AdRotate. Ad networks may collect data about your visit to serve relevant advertising.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site. Google Analytics collects data such as your IP address (anonymised), browser type, pages viewed, and the source of your visit. This data is processed by Google and subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Third-party services

This site integrates with the following external services:

• Corporate Maldives Network (network.corporatemaldives.com) — a separate platform with its own privacy policy.
• Google Fonts (self-hosted) — font files are served from our own server. No request is made to Google's servers.
• AdRotate — used to manage and display advertisements. Third-party advertisers may use cookies to serve targeted ads.

Cookies

This site uses cookies for the following purposes:

• Analytics — Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish users and track sessions.
• Theme preference — we store your light/dark mode preference in your browser's local storage so it persists between visits. No personal data is involved.
• Advertising — ad networks may set cookies to deliver and measure advertisements.

Data retention and transfers

We do not maintain a database of visitor personal data. Analytics data is retained by Google according to your Google Analytics retention settings (default: 14 months). The site is hosted in the Maldives; analytics data is processed by Google on servers that may be located outside the Maldives.

Your rights

You have the right to request information about data collected about you, and to ask for its deletion where applicable. The Maldives does not currently have a comprehensive data protection statute, but we are committed to handling your data responsibly.
