Villa College has announced the unveiling of talents showcased by students from the Certificate 4 in Creative Arts & Design programme at SPECTRUM 2024.
This annual exhibition, a beacon of artistic expression, provided a platform for students to display the culmination of their learnings and boundless creativity, offering a glimpse into the future of Maldivian artistry.
Distinguished guests, including the Minister of State for Homeland Security & Technology and esteemed digital illustrator Mr. Ali Shimhaq, graced the occasion, adding prestige to the event. Mr. Shimhaq, renowned for his prolific work both locally and internationally, commended Villa College for its dedication to nurturing young talents in the Maldives. His encouraging remarks resonated with attendees, emphasising the importance of platforms like SPECTRUM in fostering artistic growth and innovation.
A notable moment during the event was the launch of the official Spectrum 2024 book, a collaborative effort between students and faculty. Mr. Shimhaq, alongside Dr. Ahmed Anwar, Rector of Villa College, ceremoniously unveiled the publication, marking a significant milestone in the journey of these aspiring artists.
