The Dhiraagu Maldives Junior Open 2025 is scheduled to begin on Monday, 1 September, and will run until 6 September at the Kulhivaru Ekuveni Badminton Hall in Malé.
Organised by The Badminton Club, the tournament will see 347 players from eight countries compete across 733 matches. Among them are 30 international athletes, reflecting growing regional interest in the event.
The competition is structured into six age categories, ranging from under-9 to under-19, ensuring opportunities for young athletes at different stages of development. A Para/Special Olympics category has also been included, underscoring the tournament’s focus on inclusivity and broad participation.
Dhiraagu, the title sponsor, said the event aligns with its efforts to support sports in the Maldives while promoting healthier and more active communities.
