Dhiraagu has raised and contributed a total of MVR 213,998 through two Ramadan-focused charity initiatives, combining corporate funding with public donations.
The total includes a direct contribution of MVR 180,000 from Dhiraagu, with additional funds raised through customer donations made via DhiraaguPay.
The initiatives, ‘Donate a Meal’ and ‘Donate to a Family’, were carried out in partnership with local organisations to support vulnerable groups during Ramadan. Under the ‘Donate a Meal’ programme, implemented in collaboration with the Mission for Migrant Workers Maldives, meal packs were distributed to migrant workers near mosques across the Greater Malé Region. Dhiraagu contributed 1,000 meal packs at the start of the initiative, with staff also taking part in distribution efforts.
The ‘Donate to a Family’ initiative was conducted in partnership with Mom’s Aid, supporting families in need across the Maldives through the Ramadan Aid programme. The company provided care baskets containing essential food items to 100 families, with further contributions made through customer donations. The initiative focused on supporting single mothers and families caring for children with disabilities.
The programmes were facilitated through DhiraaguPay, reflecting the company’s approach of combining digital platforms with community initiatives to expand participation in charitable activities.
