Dhiraagu has participated in the ‘Partners for Humanity Initiative’ launched by the Maldivian Red Crescent to support the services rendered by the Red Crescent.
This collaborative effort, which began in 2018, has seen Dhiraagu actively support the Maldives Red Crescent in a variety of roles as a corporate member.
The ‘Partners for Humanity Initiative’ seeks to enhance the humanitarian services offered by the Maldives Red Crescent. These services range from immediate first aid and psychological support to disaster relief initiatives across the country. The assistance from Dhiraagu also plays a pivotal role in training philanthropists involved in such initiatives, as well as fostering the development of local Red Crescent units throughout the Maldives.
Mohamed Mirshan Hassan, Dhiraagu’s Director of Brand and Marketing Communications, commented, “We’re immensely proud to recognise the invaluable contributions of the Maldivian Red Crescent. It remains an honour for Dhiraagu to support their national efforts.”
The long-standing partnership between Dhiraagu and the Red Crescent extends to telecommunication-related projects as well. Notably, Dhiraagu assisted in establishing a toll-free helpline managed by the Maldives Red Crescent, aimed at offering mental and social health support, especially to migrant workers. Such collaborations not only aid the most vulnerable during crises but also further cement the bond between Dhiraagu and the Maldives Red Crescent.
