The Environment Police have resolved 46 issues from 29th June to 5th July 2019 as per a Tweet on the Maldives Police Service Twitter account.
According to the tweet, the Police have attended over 11 shops, 2 cafés/restaurants, 25 construction sites, and 28 households or offices for violating waste management rules.
The fine for smoking in non-smoking areas was imposed 15 times while 66 individuals were verbally advised against trashing the roads.
In addition, the waste violation fine was imposed by the Police 8 times, as per the Tweet.
The inauguration of Environment police was carried out in August 2018.
