Explore Maldives Roadshow Set for June 26 in Bengaluru

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/ Visit Maldives) and Manta Air, in partnership with major resorts in the Maldives, have jointly announced the upcoming “Explore Maldives Roadshow”. Set to be held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Bengaluru on June 26, MMPRC states the exclusive event aims to attract more Indian tourists and facilitate networking opportunities between Maldivian hospitality industry institutions and travel industry leaders in India.

“India stands out as one of the fastest-growing outbound tourism markets today, and it remains a pivotal market for the Maldives.” said Ibrahim Shiuree, CEO and MD of MMPRC, emphasizing the event’s significance in a press release shared on Thursday.

The roadshow will highlight the Maldives as a premier travel destination. Over 150 top travel agents, tour operators, and representatives from travel and mainstream media in India are expected to attend. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to connect with key stakeholders and explore the rich offerings of the Maldives, according to the press release.

“This upcoming event will undoubtedly serve as a crucial platform for tourism industry stakeholders to connect with the Indian market and showcase the Maldives as a premier destination, highlighting the unique offerings we are blessed with,” Shiuree adds.

MMPRC reveals the roadshow’s itinerary will feature major resort chains such as Universal Resorts, Minor Hotels, NH Collection, Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts, Sun Siyam Resorts, Villa Hotels & Resorts, PULSE Hotels & Resorts, AAA Hotels & Resorts, Angsana, COMO, RIU, and many others. These resorts will promote and showcase the appeal of the Maldives through presentations and networking sessions, with extensive media coverage anticipated to amplify the event’s reach and impact.

The Indian travel market ranked as Maldives’ best-performing market in 2023. The roadshow aims to boost travel and help the Maldives regain their position as preferred destinations for Indian inbound travellers.
