FENAKA Corporation Limited has reported progress in expanding its water and sewerage services across the Maldives over the past year.

The corporation acknowledged the challenges of managing these expansions amidst financial limitations. Despite this, FENAKA focused on ensuring the continuity of services and making necessary infrastructure improvements across the islands.

Currently, FENAKA supports more than 31,000 active water connections, with a daily production capacity of 10,661 tonnes of fresh water. In 2024, the daily production capacity was increased by 564 tonnes across five islands, and 360 new households were connected to the water supply.

In an effort to improve efficiency, FENAKA also introduced a new billing system in September 2024, which now serves 22 islands. The system aims to streamline billing processes and enhance the reliability of water services moving forward.
