Registration for the Dhiraagu Fuvahmulah Run 2025 is set to close, with the deadline set for 18 March 2025. This year’s event marks the first time the Maldives’ largest running event will be held in Fuvahmulah City, adding a new chapter to the well-known Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race (DMRR).
Runners can sign up for the 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon categories by visiting www.dfr.mv. The race is scheduled for Friday, 2 May 2025, and will take place in collaboration with Fuvahmulah City Council and the Women’s Development Committee of Fuvahmulah.
Similar to previous editions of the DMRR, the event will feature cash prizes across different race categories, with a total prize pool of MVR 232,000 allocated for winners this year.
The Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race is recognised by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) and is listed in the World Running Calendar with a World Athletics-certified route. By bringing the race to Fuvahmulah, Dhiraagu aims to encourage healthier lifestyles, strengthen the local running community, and promote Fuvahmulah as a notable destination for runners.
