Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Abdulla Shahid engages in a meeting with several Foreign Ministers and Permanent Ambassadors in New York. The meeting consisted of coming up with solutions for the international issues of common interest, multilaterally as well as strengthening the bonds of Belgium, Dominican Republic as well as Kuwait.
Mr. Shahid has also met with the permanent ambassadors of Fiji, Singapore, India, Japan, UAE, Canada, Saudi Arabia as well as Nigeria in order to discuss the climates changes as well as the issues of mutual interest along with
Mr. Abdullah Shahid’s original reason for the visit to America was to act as a representative of the Maldives in the UN’s National Safety Council’s environmental debate. In this trip, Mr. Shahid was accompanied by some of the senior officials of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
