The Ministry of Health of the Maldives has announced plans to convert hotels and guesthouses into quarantine facilities for inbound travelers, and is seeking interested parties willing to facilitate this.
According to the announcement made by the Ministry, interested parties may visit the Health Emergency Operation Center at Dharubaarge between 10:00 and 14:00 on weekdays and submit their proposals.
Furthermore, the Ministry has instructed those with any queries to email them at heocadmin@health.gov.mv.
The government recently announced its decision to ease travel restrictions imposed on South Asian travelers and allow work permit holders from the region to travel to the Maldives under special guidelines. In accordance with this, work permit holders from South Asia are mandated to complete a quarantine period upon arrival to the Maldives.
