Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced that new harbor basin dredging works for the Sh. Lhaimagu Harbor development project is currently ongoing, with 78% completion. The first shipment of rock boulders required for breakwater construction has been delivered to the project site on 13th March 2021.
The Sh. Lhaimagu Harbour project consists of; dredging and excavation operations of 31,000cbm; construction of a 350m breakwater; a 276m quay wall; a 500m revetment; installation of 1,380sqm pavement, installation of navigation lights and streetlights.
According to MTCC, the value of the project is MVR 56.3 million.
