The government unveiled the commencement of bidding for land within Hulhumale’ Phase II on Thursday, exclusively for Maldivians.
The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) disclosed that 13 plots located along the second phase beachfront are now accessible for bids, with each plot spanning between 1,864 to 2,408 square feet.
The bidding process has been initiated through HDC’s Bid Portal.
As per HDC’s stipulations, all Maldivian citizens aged 18 and above, as well as locally-owned companies, are eligible to participate in the bidding for these plots.
The bidding procedure entails two stages:
- Stage 01 – submission of Expression of Interest (EoI) for preferred plots
- Stage 02 – bidding for plots if multiple proponents apply for the same plots
All interested proponents are mandated to submit their bids online via the HDC portal. Registration for the bids is currently open, with HDC facilitating inquiries and additional information through its hotline at 1516.
