National flag carrier of Kuwait, Kuwait Airways is set to launch flights to the Maldives this October.
Kuwait Airways will operate two flights weekly between Kuwait and Maldives starting 31st October.
These flights will be operated on the Airbus A320neo.
It was in mid-last year that Kuwait Cabinet said in a statement that the country would allow direct flights to the Maldives, following the removal of COVID-19 restrictions.
Tourist arrivals to the Maldives from the Middle East have increased significantly. Around 50,000 tourists have arrived from the region so far this year, the highest number of which are from Saudi Arabia, UAE and Kuwait.
