Maldives Showcases Tourism Excellence at ATM Dubai 2025

The Maldives is making a strong statement at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, currently underway at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Running from Monday through Thursday, ATM 2025 marks the largest travel fair that the Maldives will participate in this year, with over 160 countries taking part.

This year’s theme, “Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity,” sets the tone for a dynamic B2B event, which brings together travel professionals from across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Australasia, the Americas, and Europe. ATM has long been recognised as the leading global event for the Middle East’s inbound and outbound travel industry, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

The Maldives’ presence is extensive, with a 517.5 square metre stand, where 235 representatives from 110 companies are participating. The delegation includes officials from the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), the Ministry of Tourism, and exhibitors dedicated to showcasing cultural and gastronomic aspects.

The opening ceremony of the Maldives’ activities at ATM featured traditional dances, with Tourism Minister Ibrahim Thoriq, MMPRC’s Managing Director Ibrahim Shiuree, and other senior tourism officials in attendance. The event, designed to create a lasting impression, reflects the country’s ongoing commitment to positioning itself as a premier global travel destination.

Throughout the fair, Maldivian stalls are highlighting a rich tapestry of culture, cuisine, and traditional attire. In addition to national showcases, individual tourist resorts and travel companies are operating their own stalls, providing visitors with a glimpse into the diversity of Maldivian offerings.

Among the major highlights of the Maldives’ participation is the ‘Maldivian Night’ scheduled for this evening, aimed at promoting the destination further through an immersive cultural experience. Several side events are also planned, reinforcing the Maldives’ strategy of maintaining a strong, visible presence throughout ATM 2025.

With a comprehensive approach that combines cultural showcases and strategic business networking, the Maldives is leveraging this major event to strengthen its tourism ties and capture new market opportunities, especially with the global travel industry looking towards enhanced connectivity and sustainable growth.
