The Maldivian Embassy in Dubai has announced a significant investment forum to be held tomorrow. A large delegation from the Maldives is set to attend, including the President, ministers, company heads, and private business representatives.
Ambassador Mohamed Hussain Shareef highlighted the close trade ties between the Maldives and the UAE, noting significant UAE investment in the Maldivian tourism industry. He also underlined the sizable Maldivian workforce currently based in the UAE.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu is scheduled to travel to Dubai this evening to participate in both the Dubai Investment Forum and the World Government Summit. According to the Ambassador, this marks the first time a Maldivian Head of State has attended the World Government Summit.
The investment forum will attract major global business associations and banks, providing opportunities for direct engagement with influential investors. Last month, a similar investment forum was held in China during President Muizzu’s state visit, yielding positive outcomes.
