Maldives to Host World Cake Artistry Awards 2026

The Maldives will host the World Cake Artistry Awards 2026 on 12 February 2026, marking the first time an international cake artistry award show is physically held in the country. The event will bring together world-renowned cake artists from more than 37 countries, positioning the Maldives on the global culinary and creative arts stage.

Held as part of the Bake & Delicacy Show, the World Cake Artistry Awards is a prestigious international platform celebrating creativity, innovation, and excellence in cake decorating and sugarcraft. The awards recognise outstanding achievement across 60 international categories, honouring artistic skill, design innovation, and professional excellence within the global cake artistry community.

The 2026 edition is organised by My Cakes and Sweets, led by Mujuthaba Abdulla. Participating countries include Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, France, India, Japan, Malaysia, the Maldives, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United States, and several others across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

Hosting the award expands the Maldives’  international profile beyond tourism into arts, culture, and culinary excellence, My Cakes and Sweets said. The event is expected to attract international media attention while providing a global platform for Maldivian cake artists and culinary professionals on home soil.
