Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has announced the launch of direct flights to Meemu Muli, introducing scheduled air connectivity to the atoll for the first time. The new domestic route is set to commence on 17th May 2025.
According to the airline, the service will operate once a week on Saturdays, with departures from Malé at 15:30 and return flights from Muli at 16:45. The journey takes just 35 minutes, offering a fast and convenient travel option for residents and visitors alike.
Fares for the new route begin at MVR 1,377 one way, making it one of the more affordable options for reaching the region. Passengers will also have access to Maldivian’s Premium Economy class, which features additional onboard amenities and enhanced services.
The launch of the Muli route brings the total number of destinations in Maldivian’s domestic network to 17, reaffirming its role as the country’s leading domestic airline. The new route is expected to enhance accessibility, support local economic activity, and open new opportunities for tourism development in Meemu Atoll.
Tickets for the route went on sale on 9th May 2025 and are available via Maldivian’s website, mobile app, and authorised agents.
