Maldivian nationals travelling to Kazakhstan will be exempted from visa effective today, 14 September 2022.
The visa exemption will allow Maldivians holding valid Diplomatic, Official and Ordinary passports to enter and stay in Kazakhstan a maximum period of 30 days from the day of their entry.
In accordance with the visa exemption agreement signed between the two countries on 9 May 2022, Maldivians intending to stay for a longer period or to work or to attend an educational institution or conduct business in Kazakhstan, will need to obtain an appropriate visa prior to travel.
The Government of Maldives stated that it views the visa exemption to Kazakhstan as a commitment to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries, and an important milestone that will facilitate stronger people to people contact, business and investment opportunities for both the Maldives and Kazakhstan.
