MIFCO Participates in the 18th INFOFISH World Tuna Trade Conference & Exhibition

The Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO) is participating in the 18th INFOFISH World Tuna Trade Conference & Exhibition, set to be held from the 20th to the 22nd of this month at the Shangri-La Hotel in Thailand. The MIFCO team, led by CEO Ahmed Shamah Rasheed, departed to attend this significant industry event.

The conference will address the challenges faced in the industrial production of the fisheries sector while also emphasising the importance of sustainable fisheries practices and industry development. MIFCO aims to leverage this platform to explore new strategies for enhancing its capacity and improving services for fishermen.

Ahmed Shamah Rasheed, CEO of MIFCO, highlighted the primary objective of their participation. “The main purpose of attending the fair is to find innovative ways to increase MIFCO’s capacity and to strengthen the services provided to our fishermen. MIFCO’s work can be strengthened by working closely with the fishermen. Our aim is to increase the income of the fishermen and alleviate their hardships,” Shamah explained.

In addition to strategic discussions, the fair will also serve as a platform to promote MIFCO’s fish products to the international market, aiming to attract new customers and expand their market reach. The event will be attended by professionals from various countries and sectors within the industry.

A key highlight of the conference will be a special presentation by MIFCO CEO Ahmed Shamah Rasheed, scheduled for tomorrow at 2:00 pm local time. His presentation will share insights into MIFCO’s operations and future plans, contributing to the broader discussions on industry challenges and opportunities.
