The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, will undertake an official visit to Sri Lanka from 18 to 21 February 2025, at the invitation of the H.M. Vijitha Herath, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism of Sri Lanka.
During the visit, Minister Khaleel will pay courtesy calls on Anura Kumara Disanayake, President of Sri Lanka and Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, Prime Minister of Sri Lanka. Minister Khaleel will also hold official talks with his counterpart, Minister Vijitha Herath, M.P.
In addition to his official engagements, Minister Khaleel is scheduled to meet with the Maldivian community residing in Sri Lanka. He will also meet with representatives of the Sri Lankan private sector to explore opportunities for enhancing collaboration across various sectors.
Minister Khaleel will be accompanied by Foreign Secretary Fathimath Inaya and Additional Secretary Aminath Abdulla Didi of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
