The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) officially mobilised the Adh. Omadhoo Harbour Development Project on 30th July 2023.
The comprehensive scope of the project undertaking involves 49,765 cubic meters of dredging and excavation operations, supplemented by an additional 12,105 cubic meters of channel dredging operations.
Furthermore, structural enhancements including the construction of a 346-meter quay wall, a 398-meter breakwater, and a 208-meter revetment are part of the overall plan. The harbour will also see the installation of a 16,470 square meter pavement.
Additional components include the construction of a ramp and a concrete jetty measuring 150 meters by 2 meters. The project is aimed to ensure maritime safety with the installation of harbour lights and navigational lights.
The project is valued at MVR 66.96 million.
