Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has provided an update on the Sh. Foakaidhoo Harbor Project.
According to MTCC, the work on design and build of Sh. Foakaidhoo Harbor is well underway, with overall 56% project progress. The first shipment of precast concrete blocks required for quay wall construction have been delivered to the project site on 25th January 2022. They have further completed channel dredging operations and the construction of revetment is currently ongoing.
The scope of the project includes, dredging operations of 45,795cbm, construction of a 464m quay wall, a 100m revetment, a 507m breakwater, installation of 2320sqm harbor pavement, installation of streetlights and navigation lights.
This project is valued at MVR 52.7 million.
