New Ambassador of Maldives to the Kingdom of Bhutan Presents Credentials to the King of Bhutan

Ambassador of Maldives to Bhutan paid a Courtesy Call on H. E. Lyonchhen Dr. Lotay Tshering, Prime Minister of Bhutan and discussed mutually beneficial cooperation between the Maldives and Bhutan

The new Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives to the Kingdom of Bhutan, H. E. Ms. Aishath Mohamed Didi presented her Letter of Credence to the King of Bhutan His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, at a ceremony held at Tashichhodzong, on 17th October.

At the audience with His Majesty, Ambassador Aisha said that she was immensely privileged to have the opportunity to work with Bhutan to strengthen the close and cordial relationship between the two countries. Ambassador Aisha also conveyed warm greetings from the President of the Republic of Maldives, H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the people of Maldives to the Kingdom of Bhutan.

As the newly accredited Ambassador, Ambassador Aisha expressed that she is committed to take the relations between the two countries to a new level, with the increase of people-to-people contact, cultural exchanges and cooperation on mutually beneficial development areas including tourism.

On the occasion of presenting her credentials, Ambassador Aisha also called on Prime Minister Lyonchhen Dr. Lotay Tshering and Minister of Foreign Affairs Lyonpo Damcho Dorji.
