The Maldives Tourism Awards, an annual celebration of excellence in the tourism industry, is now accepting nominations for 2024, with submissions due by November 14. This prestigious event recognises notable achievements and contributions from a wide range of businesses, including resorts, hotels, guesthouses, safaris, and travel agencies, which play an integral role in the Maldives’ thriving tourism sector.
This year, a total of 23 awards will be presented across five categories. The evaluation will focus on activities conducted between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024, allowing participants to showcase their dedication and innovations within the sector. Interested applicants must complete their submissions online, where entries will be assessed on criteria designed to highlight excellence in service, innovation, and impact on the tourism landscape.
In 2023, the Maldives Tourism Awards received considerable interest, with 225 applications submitted from 88 participants competing across 59 awards. Of these, 31 awards were ultimately granted, celebrating both individual and company achievements. Organisers aim to continue this tradition, focusing on recognising individuals and organisations that have made meaningful contributions to tourism in the Maldives.
