Ooredoo Maldives Launches First Apple Watch Cellular Service in the Maldives

Ooredoo Maldives has rolled out the country’s first Apple Watch Cellular Service, marking a milestone in wearable tech connectivity in the Maldives. Powered by Ooredoo’s eSIM technology, the service enables users to stay connected through their Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra without needing their iPhone nearby.

This development positions the Maldives alongside only two other countries in the Ooredoo Group to offer such functionality, allowing users to make calls, send messages, and stream music directly from their wrist while on the move. The launch was accompanied by an introductory offer providing six months of free service to all Ooredoo mobile customers. Following the promotional period, the service will be priced at MVR 199 per month.
