Ooredoo Maldives is providing an opportunity for customers to support Palestinians in Gaza, who are facing intense bombardment during the Israel-Hamas conflict, by making donations through m-Faisaa.
To donate using m-Faisaa:
- Access mFaisaa via the Ooredoo App.
- Choose Smart Pay, scan the QR code provided, or enter the m-Faisaa account number 9306501.
- Input the desired donation amount and confirm the payment.
The contributions made through m-Faisaa will be directed to Palestinians in need through the International Aid Campaign (IAC) Maldives, whose team is on the ground in Gaza providing vital emergency assistance.
In just one day, IAC Maldives raised MVR 1.9 million in emergency funds to aid Palestinians.
The conflict erupted when Hamas launched a surprise attack following Israeli settlers’ actions at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound. In recent months, Israel has been responsible for many Palestinian casualties.
Israel’s heavy bombardment of Gaza and the declaration of a “total blockade,” which includes restrictions on access to water and food, has resulted in the loss of lives, with 560 Palestinians killed, over 2,900 injured, and more than 120,000 displaced in the besieged Palestinian enclave.
