Ooredoo Maldives has announced that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Sunday, 9th March 2025, at 21:30 hrs, allowing shareholders to participate either in person or online. The company has outlined the procedures for registration and attendance, ensuring shareholder engagement in key decisions.
The in-person AGM will be held at Ooredoo Maldives Headquarters, Hulhumale’, with attendance limited to 50 shareholders. Those who register for physical participation will be informed by 8th March 2025 if they can attend in person or if they need to join online. Shareholders opting for virtual attendance must log in through the FahiVote platform.
To be eligible to attend and vote, shareholders must pre-register or appoint a proxy by 21:30 hrs on 7th March 2025 via the Infinity system. Voting at the AGM will be conducted electronically.
Key Agenda Items
The meeting will cover several key topics, including:
- Approval of the 2024 Audited Financial Statements and Directors’ Report
- Appointment of auditors for 2025 and determination of their remuneration
- Approval of the dividend for 2024
- Re-election of Directors
Only shareholders registered as of 14:00 hrs on 18th February 2025 will be eligible to vote. Majority shareholder Wataniya International FZ-LLC, which holds 90.5% of Ooredoo Maldives’ shares, will elect seven directors to the Board.
Ooredoo Maldives, listed on the Maldives Stock Exchange, reported a revenue of MVR 2.2 billion and a profit after tax of MVR 685 million for the financial year ending 31st December 2024.
